Over 60,000 people are treated annually at McLaren's Trauma and Emergency Center. Round-the-clock coverage and treatment is provided by trauma and general surgeons, as well as orthopedic, neurosurgery, anesthesiology, emergency medicine, radiology, critical care, cardiac surgery, hemodialysis, and microvascular surgery specialists.

McLaren provides hospital resources necessary for trauma care, along with the entire spectrum of care to address the needs of all injured patients. In particular, McLaren's orthopedics, neurological and rehabilitation units, and its brain and spine injury programs, are vital links in the continuum of care for traumatically-injured patients.

Emergency needs in the Flint are also served by Regional Emergency Medical Services, another McLaren Health Care Division. The ambulance service provides both emergency and inter-facility transportation for area residents.
